Sammallahdenmäki is a stone grave area dating back to bronze age. It’s located in southwest Finland, in Satakunta, near Rauma. It is Finland’s first archeological Unesco World Heritage site and one of the most important bronze age sites of all Nordic countries. The site is on bedrock, it’s old seabed that has risen due to post-glacial rebound, and is now 15 km from the current coast line. There are 36 rock-pile graves, some of them have been inspected and there were found some megalithic tombs and traces of cremation.
