Swan is the national bird of Finland. The birds find a partner when they’re young and they typically stay together for their whole lives. The big, white, and faithful bird is a part of folklore and art of many countries. It’s regarded as sacred in many places, and in swan myths people are changed to swans. It’s also closely associated with death.
The photo of this lonely swan was taken by Minna of Minor Postcards during spring of 2019.
