Description

Ever since I’ve been into photography, photographing the northern lights has been a big challenge in my mind. I have to guess and experiment with the camera settings, and being alone in the dark is exciting… and focusing in the dark – that’s so difficult. Northern lights are rare, what you learn at one time you already forget before the next photographing opportunity comes.

In the winter of 2023, I got to try shooting a few times, and this card image is the first publishable aurora borealis photo I took myself! The picture was taken on February 26 at midnight, just a couple of hundred meters from the home yard and it was taken by Minna from Minor Postcards.

This card features a special matte finish, which feels soft and luxurious. The special coating prevents fingerprints and smudges, too, so feel free to touch it!
