Description
The map is made by my daughter and features different berries and mushrooms. Some of them are chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius), horn of plenty or black chanterelle (Craterellus cornucopioides), false saffron milkcap or orange milkcap (Lactarius deterrimus), brittlegill (Russula paludosa), matsutake (Tricholoma matsutake), Yellowfoot or Funnel Chanterelle (Cantharellus tubaeformis), different boletus or porcini mushrooms, brain mushroom or false morel (Gyromitra esculenta) and fly agaric or fly amanita (Amanita muscaria). The brain mushroom Gyromitra esculenta is potentially very dangerous if eaten raw, and needs to be boiled multiple times to be edible. It’s commonly eaten in Finland, even though it’s illegal to sell in some other countries. The fly amanita is inedible and can’t be prepared at all, therefore there’s skull and crossbones next to it.
