The common raven or nordic raven is a large all-black bird from corvids. They are intelligent animals that can use tools and imitate almost any sound. The raven is a wise bird that is valued and respected in the folklore of many cultures. It is associated with intelligence, change, death and mystery, which allows it to act as a messenger between the worlds of the living and the dead.
