Description
The card shows some stars from the constellation of Scorpius. Scorpius is located about 8000 light years from Earth, and can be seen best from the Southern hemisphere. The star cluster in the middle is called Pismis 24, and the nebula is NGC 6357. The photo was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2006. The image has been edited by cropping. Credit: ESA/Hubble
