Description
Sautéed reindeer is a traditional food in the northern reindeer herding area. Frozen meat is easy to cut into thin slices while the meat is still firm. The low-fat meat is fried in butter in a pan and the long sautéeing time makes it soft and tender. Traditionally, the dish is served with mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam and pickles. You can also use game meat such as moose, rabbit or venison.
