Description

Every season has its pros and cons. Many people love spring because nature wakes up after a long winter.

According to the astronomical definition, spring in this hemisphere is the time between the equinox of spring and the stagnation of summer. In the southern hemisphere, spring is the time between the equinox of autumn and the stagnation of winter.

Meteorologists define that spring is when the daily average temperatures are between 0 °C (32 °F) and + 10 ° C (50 °F) . Finland is a long country and therefore there are large variations in the time of spring between the south and the north. In Åland, spring can start as early as January, while in Lapland it may not begin until May. Spring includes e.g. floods along rivers, poor driving conditions on unpaved roads , the pollen season and the return of migratory birds to Finland.

This postcard is finished with a special matte coating. It makes the surface of the card feel soft, almost like fabric. It can be touched freely because no fingerprints are left on the surface!
