I must say my first year as a postcard seller passed by without me even noticing it. Time has passed fast and writing about current events is more like remembering the past this time. 😀
Early spring went fast, designing and thinking about new cards. The finished cards arrived in April and were added to the web page and showcased to our retail sellers. The printing place was changed, now it’s in Mikkeli which is nearby, so we can pick up the finished cards by car. Along with the printing place we changed the printing technique: almost all the new cards are printed using offset printing. Offset printing provides a better quality compared to the digital printing we used to have. The webshop now displays the printing technique in the product tags and all the cards will be printed using offset in the future.
A directory also has been added to the webshop, so the cards can be browsed by topics. We also held a summer sale!
We asked you for ideas for traditional costume cards on our Facebook page and on Postcrossing forums. We thank you for good suggestions! In July we photographed the costumes in many situations and different locations. We’re getting new cards printed in the beginning of September, some of them are photos from this summer and some more autumny.
Soon we’ll get the new cards added to the shop, and hopefully receive feedback of them from you!
Sunny autumn days to you all!
